H. Gilbert Nicol '44
H. Gilbert Nicol died on April 16, 2007. His wife, Harriet, and his son, James, survive him; his daughter, Harriet Howard, predeceased him.
At Amherst, Gil was a member of Phi Gamma Chi. After Amherst, he went on to Columbia Law School. He worked with Friends of International Education and served as executive director of the International Baccalaureate (North America) and of the Society for College and University Planning (both in New York City).
