An unsigned purple card informed us of the passing of Jim Howard on Oct. 13, 2009, in Milwaukee at the age of 81. His wife, Shirley, predeceased him as did son Rick.
Jim’s Christian faith was manifested in his death notice quote from II Corinthians 5:8: “Confident and willing to be absent from the body and present with the Lord.”
At Amherst, Jim was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. He lettered in both football and track and was elected to Sphinx. After graduation, he earned a J.D. at Marquette University and practiced law for the rest of his working life in Milwaukee.
No further information was available, but friends are invited to enter any reminiscences or sentiments in Jim’s memory.
