How did you get started volunteering for Amherst?

I started as a student when I called alumni for the Amherst Fund in summer 2004, but I was also planning big programs as a student, like one of our spring formals. Somehow, I was also one of the class marshals at Commencement—which showed me that I could lead and plan for the class.

Why do you volunteer with Amherst College?

I wanted to give back to the College and had some skills that were useful on both the fundraising and programming side.

What is your favorite part of volunteering with Amherst?

I like being able to work with my classmates in giving back to the College.
