AMHERST, Mass.—The Amherst College Jazz Ensemble will perform its 2008 Spring Concert on Monday, May 5, at 8 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the Arms Music Center at Amherst College.

The concert will feature the premiere of the 2008 McBride ’59 Commission, A Series of Short Prayers by Dave Rivello. The evening of jazz, directed by Bruce Diehl, will also include performances of “Basie for President,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “Relaxin’ on Summer Street” and several other favorites.

This concert is open to the public at no charge. Seating is by general admission.
