Dec 17: 7:00am -  Although we are experiencing a reduced frequency of symptoms and impact, we continue to experience periods of instability on the campus network. Symptoms include slow Internet access and the inability to login to certain Amherst College websites. We will continue to post messages on this page until the issue is fully resolved.

Dec 15: 9:13pm - Wired and WiFi networking have been restored in all locations. We experienced brief performance degradation while all the equipment in the facilities we were restoring service to came online. At this point all services are stable. We will continue to post messages here until we are certain the issue is fully resolved.

Dec 15: 6:30pm - Services are now stable with the exception of network connectivity (WiFi and wired) remaining unavailable at the following locations: Ford Hall, Greenway B, Greenway C, Greenway D, Merrill Place Apartments, and Seligman Residence Hall. We will continue to post messages on this page until the issue is fully resolved.

Dec 15: 2:25pm - We are aware of recurring issues of network connectivity across campus and are actively working to resolve it. We will continue to post messages on this page until the issue is fully resolved.

Dec 15: 10:30am - IT staff continue to investigate the cause of the symptoms on the network. We will continue to post messages on this page until the issue is fully resolved.

Dec 15: 9:30am - IT staff have been on site this morning working to resolve the issue that affects access to the Inetrnet and network services. We will continue to post messages on this page until the issue is fully resolved.

Dec 15: 6:55am - we have received reports of symptoms similar to the ones we experienced last night and are investigating.

Dec 14: 9:15pm - the issue that affected wireless connectivity and access to online services is now resolved. Please contact us at AskIT@amherst.edu if you continue to experience dificulty accessing network services.

Dec 14: 9:00pm - we have determined an issue on the network caused interruption of wireless traffic, and traffic to some services such as single sign-on (the familiar purple login page). We have taken steps to eliminate the impact and will communicate as soon as the issue is fully resolved.
