Signature Programs
Mission
The Women’s and Gender Center (WGC) seeks to foster a critical awareness of gender and create an intentional space, accessible to students of all genders, for learning and exploring gender through personal experience, academic inquiry, community building and discussion. We serve as a resource for women, femmes and nonbinary students, as well as students who want to deepen their understanding of gender, gender identity and feminism. We center the stories and experiences of currently and traditionally marginalized genders in our work.
Reproductive Justice Week
An annual week of programs that aims to increase knowledge about reproductive justice and to provide students with the resources they need to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.
International Women’s Day
Part of Women’s History Month, a day of celebration for the social, economic, political and cultural contributions of women and femmes in the world.
Feminist Education Series
An annual series of education programs focused on a particular topic in feminism. 40th Anniversary of Co-Education Celebration Feminist Quilting Project Started in 2016; completed in 2019 with patches made by students, staff and faculty.
