Astronomy Night

What makes Amherst College students excited about astronomy? Find out at Astronomy Night!  Students, parents, teachers, families, and the Amherst community are invited to a free evening dedicated to discovering more about light, stars, and the universe.  

Explore the cosmos during this interactive evening at the state-of-the-art Science Center on the campus of Amherst College. Activities will be most suitable for youth ages 12 and older; however, younger children are welcome.

Students in ASTR-111 “Exploring the Cosmos" will lead visitors in a range of interactive activities suitable for a variety of ages on topics in light, stars, galaxies, and cosmology. These may include:

videos,
demonstrations,
short talks,
art exhibitions,
performances,
and interactive games.

This event is supported by the Center for Community Engagement.
