Laboratory tests including cultures (throat, urine, wound, etc), blood testing, and other urine testing are obtained on site at the Keefe Health Center. All culture specimens and blood tests that are drawn at the Health Center are sent to a reference lab for processing.
All laboratory testing requires an order by a provider. All lab work drawn and performed at the Health Center must be ordered by a Health Center practitioner. If you have lab work that is ordered by an outside provider, make an appointment at the Health Center to discuss the specifics of these tests so one of our providers can order these labs (results will be forwarded to the outside provider).
Lab results are generally available within several days, though some specific lab testing can take up to a week. Results are sent via the Patient Portal.
