Jane Kungu | Assistant Director, Multicultural Resource Center

Bio: As the Assistant Director of the Multicultural Resource Center, Jane provides support to students who identify as people of color on campus. Prior to this role, Jane worked in the Office of Identity and Cultural Resources (OICR) as a Program Coordinator on campus. She has also worked in Housing & Residence Life, First Year Experience, and New Student Orientation prior to her arrival at Amherst College in 2021. In her free time, Jane enjoys spending time with their cat RT, going on walks, and listening to podcasts or binge watching her favorite shows. Your favorite part about the MRC: I love the MRC's balcony and cozy reading corner, as well as the community that gathers here. It's such a beautiful place to unwind, study, and hang out. I really enjoyed the Asian Night Market last year - I'm sure the MRC will outdo itself this year too!

Your favorite part about the MRC: One of my favorite things about the MRC is how many new people I get to meet through different events, collaborations, and the center itself. It's been so fun getting to organize with different students and fostering such a welcoming community. The MRC is a place where I always feel welcome.
