Amherst students directly enroll at New College at the University of Oxford. New College, despite its name, was founded in 1379. Of the colleges of Oxford, it is one of the largest and well-known, with beautiful buildings and gardens for the approximately 400 undergraduate and 200 graduate students. Visiting students have full access to Oxford's facilities, e.g., libraries.
