Introduction

To ensure that you always have the latest tools and security features, you should keep your Zoom client up-to-date. Additionally, Zoom restricts older versions of its clients to maintain the security of all participants on a call. Currently, the oldest allowed version of the Zoom client is version 5.3.0.

The IT Department also suggests enabling the auto-update feature. Refer to Zoom's article on the subject

Check Your Client Version

Desktop Client (Windows/Mac)

  1. Launch Zoom
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner

  3. Select Help > About Zoom
  4. The version will be listed. If lower than the minimum, you should update your client

Mobile Client (iOS, Android)

  1. Open the Zoom app.
  2. Tap Settings .
  3. Tap About Zoom. You will see the Zoom app version. If lower than the minimum, you should update your client

Upgrade Zoom Client

Desktop Client (Windows/Mac)

  1. Launch Zoom
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner
