Dear BCBP Thesis Writers:

Congratulations on taking on the challenging task of completing a thesis in BCBP! The College’s guidelines for preparation of your thesis document can be found here:

https://www.amherst.edu/academiclife/registrar/quick-links/thesis_guide

Additionally, thesis students will give two public presentations of their senior thesis work.  A blitz talk to the department in the first few weeks of the fall semester that outlines their thesis questions.  Students can also arrange to have more in-depth discussions with their thesis committee at any point during the fall semester, during interterm, or at the start of the spring semester.

The second public presentation will be the annual Senior Thesis Research Symposium, held in the last weeks of the spring semester.  Each thesis student will present the results of their research at an Honors Symposium (12 min present/3 min questions).

Thesis Due Date:  TBD, 2023 at  midnight (~11:59 PM).

Spring Senior Thesis Research Symposium Presentation Date:  TBD, 2023

If you have any questions about the thesis process, please don’t hesitate to ask your thesis advisor, your academic advisor, or the BCBP chair.
