Make Me Admin is an application that allows our end-users to grant themselves administrative rights for a 10-minute session. This is useful for tasks such as installing software, installing local printers, or running an elevated Windows command prompt. 

You will need to run Make Me Admin any time you see this Windows prompt:

When you see the User Account Control Window above, close that window and doubleclick on the Make Me Admin Icon on your Desktop.

Then, click ‘Grant Me Administrator Rights’.

Then, retake the steps which led to the User Account Control window where this began, and enter your AMHERST COLLEGE EMAIL ADDRESS as the username, along with your Amherst College password. 

Please keep in mind that you will need to do this each time you need to run a process which requires Administrator rights.
